The Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) is a premier business and event hub at the heart of Dubai, playing a vital role in establishing the city as a global center for commerce and innovation. With over 1.3 million square feet of state-of-the-art exhibition space, DWTC provides world-class facilities for exhibitions, conferences, trade shows, and corporate events. Its owned and organized events contribute significantly to Dubai’s economy by driving trade, innovation, and investment while serving as dynamic platforms for networking, knowledge exchange, and industry collaboration.

Marketing management

Utilizing the large marketing budgets allocated to the global campaigns of each event, I created and implemented comprehensive marketing and growth strategies to grow global visitor and exhibitor participation. This included working closely with the in-house CRM department to segment audiences and create tailored strategies to attract participation from across European, American, Asian, African and Middle Eastern markets. I managed and collaborated with a high performing team of vendors and external agencies to fulfill tasks such as social media management, media placements and website development. Forming international partnerships with media companies, research agencies and potential barter sponsors was also an integral part of the process.

Proficient in data analytics, I led strategic decisions and optimized marketing channels. I also set team KPIs against commercial targets, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration on shared goals.

Content

Content marketing was a major area of focus in events marketing at DWTC. With increasing demands to develop market worthy content, I applied my copywriting skills to create targeted PR & content strategies for different channels with the aim to boost user engagement, build sales funnels and customer conversion journeys, and craft engaging and clear messages to attract diverse audiences. Customized content was curated and drafted for all digital and print marketing collateral of the shows, such as websites, brochures, presentation decks, promotional emails, and social media. Due to the global reach of the shows, multi-lingual content in English, Arabic, French, Chinese and Russian was also published for country-specific targeting.

Creative

Leveraging my exceptional creative skills, I worked closely with both in-house and outsourced designers as well as video producers, to brief designs and creative direction for the development of key visuals, templates, promo videos and industry reports. When timelines were short and designers were not readily available, I often directly worked with online design tools to create graphics based on brand guidelines and publish them quickly on relevant digital platforms.
